Sadly, NO.
The majority of Americans do not believe in Global Warming but think it's all a hoax by the liberals to scare them.
President Bush has acknowledged that there is a problem, but people don't believe him either.

Eat more beef. Cow flatulence has been linked to global warming and according to some studies it is the single largest contributor. The rise in vegetarians is a real problem maybe we should hold them responsible. All kidding aside our EPA actually creates problems. I work in the power industry and if we loose steam to our engines (steam is injected into the engine to bring down nox emissions) due to a brief problem or a false reading in our controls we must shut down the engine and then restart. During start we will run out of limits on emisions for 1-2 hrs but due to the engine not being at steady state this is allowed (the emisions during start are really high because temps are cold where as if we briefly lose steam we can correct the problem before we go out of compliance) but if they would just let us keep running we would not exceed limits. Our laws just look good to people who don't know what they mean but if you really see the big picture you will understand that noone has yet taken a real approach to the issue. I don't think global warming is a serious issue but cleaning up our air is important for the health issues alone.

Ho hum what a bore you are - first - no one has proved global warming exists and today they are releasing a world report that humans my affect it. The word here is M-a-y. Just 22 years ago, they were declaring a "New Ice Age Upon Us" in all the world's press and now they tell us that we began heating the world 100 years ago. Can't have it both ways - can you. And Ding Dong The Witch is Dead, The witch old witch, the wicked witch is dead. Who you ask, why Molly Ivans, the liberal columnist who also espoused your stupid ideas about Americans. We do not believe "Inventin" Al Gore. We can and do get along with Zero (0) oil from Iraq and Iran- wow - what a concept. We do drive humongous SUV's and are damn proud of that. I hope we use all the world's oil so your accusations can be true - but that won't happen. Get a life - but first get educated. Otherwise, we do love the Brits.

I think people have let politics cloud good judgement on this issue. Youve got he Bush crowd that deny its real because they are republicans, and the Gore crowd that only believe it because they are democrats.
Myself, i fall in the middle. To deny that mankind is affecting the climate and that Global Warming is a real issue is foolish. Its about like saying that smoking isnt bad for you.
But...i dont think i would buy into the Al Gore worse case scenario either.

Why is global warming a political issue?
It is real and affects us, and everyone who comes behind us.
I drive a car that gets 30 mpg, I caulk, insulate, and buy fluorescent bulbs. but the government needs to act.
Screw Limbaugh, this isn't a political issue unless you own oil stocks!
