Peter Cetera, Daddy's little girl. It was my dad's song for my baby sister. It's actually beautiful, for elevator music. lol
Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton was written for his son, also. He had died accidently at an extremely early age.

The Car by Jeff Carson.
also A Mother's prayer/ A Father's Prayer with Collin Raye, and can't remember the female.
In Pictures by Alabama, although a kinda sad song
Seeing in my Father in me(although more the kid singing but realizing he is becoming his father so along the lines)
As to the one just listing things from Wiki, some of those really don't fit the question although anyone who knew the songs could easily see that. Most of the other ones I know have been listed.

I think "Everything Possible" is a wonderful lullaby for a child ~ Here are the lyrics ....God Bless
Everything Possible
Lyrics and music by Fred Small
We have cleared off the table, the leftovers saved
Washed the dishes and put them away
I have told you a story and tucked you in tight
At the end of your knockabout day
As the moon sets its sails to carry you to sleep
Over the midnight sea
I will sing you a song no one sang to me
May it keep you good company
You can be anybody you want to be
You can love whomever you will
You can travel any country where your heart leads
And know I will love you still
You can live by yourself, you can gather friends around
You can choose one special one
And the only measure of your words and your deeds
Will be the love you leave behind when you're done
There are girls who grow up strong and bold
There are boys quiet and kind
Some race on ahead, some follow behind
Some go in their own way and time
Some women love women, some men love men
Some raise children, some never do
You can dream all the day never reaching the end
Of everything possible for you
Don't be rattled by names, by taunts, by games
But seek out spirits true
If you give your friends the best part of yourself
They will give the same back to you
You can be anybody you want to be
You can love whomever you will
You can travel any country where your heart leads
And know I will love you still
You can live by yourself, you can gather friends around
You can choose one special one
And the only measure of your words and your deeds
Will be the love you leave behind when you're done

The songs I suggest are Amy Grant-"Baby Baby", Amber (performer)-"The Smile of My Child", Amber (performer)-"More Time For a Child", line Dion-"Goodbye (The Saddest Word)" and John Mayer-"Daughters." I don't know too many songs like that. Peace.

Bob Carlisle - Butterfly Kisses
There's two things I know for sure:
She was sent here from heaven and she's
daddy's little girl.
As I drop to my knees by her bed at night
She talks to Jesus and I close my eyes and
I thank god for all the joy in my life
Oh, but most of all
For butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer;
sticking little white flowers all up in her
hair; "Walk beside the pony, Daddy, it's my first ride."
"I know the cake looks funny, Daddy, but I sure tried."
In all that I've done wrong I know I must
have done something right to deserve a hug
every morning and butterfly kisses at night.
Sweet 16 today
She's looking like her mama a little more everyday
One part woman, the other part girl.
To perfume and make-up from ribbons and curls
Trying her wings out in a great big world.
But I remember
Butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer; sticking
little white flowers all up in her hair.
"You know how much I love you, Daddy, But if you
don't mind I'm only gonna kiss you on the cheek this time."
With all that I've done wrong I must have done
something right to deserve her love every morning
and butterfly kisses at night.
All the precious time
Like the wind, the years go by.
Precious butterfly.
Spread your wings and fly.
She'll change her name today.
She'll make a promise and I'll give her away.
Standing in the bride-room just staring at her.
She asked me what I'm thinking and I said "I'm not
sure-I just feel like I'm losing my baby girl."
She leaned over...gave me butterfly kisses with her mama there,
Sticking little white flowers all up in her hair
"Walk my down the aisle, Daddy-it's just about time."
"Does my wedding gown look pretty, Daddy? Daddy, don't cry!"
Oh, with all that I've done wrong I must have
done something right.
To deserve your love every morning and butterfly
kisses-I couldn't ask God for more, man this is what love is.
I know I gotta let her go, but I'll always remember
every hug in the morning and butterfly kisses.

Parts of "Mother" by Pink Floyd, The Wall. Horrible, but very realistic. Pink Think, by XTC, from Oranges & Lemons - that is an upbeat one, though.
