1) Linear growth means that the growth can be plotted as a straight line. For this to be the case, the same amount would have to be added every time (in this case, every 12 years). However, every 12 years, the amount added is twice what was added 12 years ago. So no, this is not linear growth.

2) The angle of a complete circle is 360 degrees. To determine the angle of a slice, take the appropriate percentage of 360.

1.) No, because the investment is does not always follow the same amount of change then it would not be a linear growth. One time her money might increase by $500 after 12 years, and the next it will increase by $1000. It is not a constant change so the slope will stay the same.

2.) To find 45% of a pie graph, you need to find what 45% of 360 degrees is. To do that, you can use the "is/of" percent proportion

x/360 = 45/100

Cross multiply and solve the equation that you got.

45x = 36000

Divide 36000 by 45 to find your answer.

1) this is a no

2) 45% of 360 can be solved in two ways. the first is change the % to a decimal and the word of means multiply.

,45 x 360 = the number of degrees.

the other is the same as was expained by TJ except when you solve this you will get
x/360 = 45/100
100x = 45(360)
then divided by 100
