The bottom slot is for inserting Game Boy Advance games or special accessories like the Rumble Pak or a Barcode Reader for a Megaman game.

It also takes a memory pack for the DS browser you can buy or an adapter for a SD Card to listen to MP3s with the DS MP3 player from Nintendo.

The slot is for:
- Game Boy Advance games, all of which will play on the DS.
- Rumble pack (comes with Metroid Pinball, available separately too)

Homebrew (home-made games) makers also use special custom cards in this slot to hack their DS' to run their own programs.
