Then on page 8 is a paraphraph about this african war lord is is being pt on trial in the Netherlands for being respinsibile for 4 million deaths in Nigeria..(one dead horse? - 4 million deaths?) Why do we not care about our own speceis? What do you think? about this story?

Three things;
The further the story the less interest to us.
- You fell more for your loss stuff animal then a large earthquake 3,000 miles away.

The fewer the things are , animal, mineral or vegetable, the more important it is to us.
- There is over 6 billion of us on the planet.

And generally we fill that humans can take care of them selves and animals can't

It's less depressing for people to read about a dead horse than millions of dead people. People generally like to avoid reading anything traumatic, and magazines with hard hitting depressing stories don't sell as well as the trashy, light ones do.

Pathetic isn't it? Don't get me wrong I love animals! The world, especially America is all for "Save the whales" and Save the trees but, lets kill our children (abortion). It's probably easier for some people to deal with a dead horse then the loss of 4 million people!

Because deep down we're really quite pathetic.

You know you're momma always told you to pick and choose your battles...but most times people pick the stupidest things to fight over but turn a blind eye to what really matters.

Maybe they don't know what to do, but it's pretty simple. You all got a computer--write your politicians and make your views known. Ditto with the media. That much you all can do no? Write them and tell them what you think. Plain and simple. When enough people do it, they will listen.

And with all those guns to keep you safe I don't know what you would have to fear by doing so. Seems to me that is the first thing you have to shake off.

Despite the best efforts of the jihadis and despots in third world countries to limit population growth, the human species multiplies with such amazing fecundity and rapidity that it now infests almost every piece of land on the whole inhabitable earth and Canada.
