I am curious of Americans, as there is no evidence Iran is attempting to do anything other than generate energy for peaceful reasons, and any military talk is strictly about defending themselves. Can any American say with a straight face they honestly feel threatened by Iran?

I dont feel threatened by Iran at all, but there is about 30% of Americans that will answer yes to your question. They of course are all Bush supporters. I often wonder how my fellow Americans would feel if Canada or Mexico was invaded by say Islams or Chinese. Wouldn't they feel threatened and want to defend there country? i know I would. So how is this different from Iran watching our miltary make a disaster out of Iraq across the border?

I don't trust them as a country. They've proven in the past to not be trustworthy and will need to do a lot to gain trust. I would never travel to Iran. I would be leary of putting my life in the hands of an Iranian. I personally do not feel threatened in my own home at this time but that is just good old American arrogance thinking that we are too far away to be touched. I can see them as a potential threat if not kept in check simply because they hate Americans. I feel no differently about the Koreans, Chinese, etc. They don't understand America or the American way. They hate what they don't understand. America sucks in a lot of ways but it's great in a lot of ways too....and in a lot of ways we have it much better than other countries which is why people are dieing to get into America. For some reason the middle east hates us just because we exist. That's not right and needs to be dealt with. As for invasion.....I wouldn't invade my neighbors house just because I think she is a mean person. I would just avoid her. I think ivading another country is stupid. IT's a bully tactic. I believe we'd be better off protecting our own borders and air space unless attacked at which time retaliation might be necessary. I don't believe in throwing the first punch but I do believe in the right to self defense.

One only has to look at the REAL evidence supported by the NUMEROUS events occurring around the world involving the activities generated by terrorists.

Any nation that assists, harbours, promotes, provides amnesty, or otherwise assists terrorists in their illegal activities are bad news!

Do I honestly feel that terrorists, whether they be in Iran, Iraq, or any other near east nation, are a threat????

You're darn toot'n I do!!!!!!!!!

I dont feel threatened by them. But if it is proven without a doubt that the Iranian government is somehow supplying the insurgents in Iraq with weapons that are being used to kill American soldiers what are we suppose to do? If its proven that Iranian special forces are going into Iraq and launching attacks on American soldiers what do we do? Sit back and take it?

George Bush in on a Quixotic roll and thinks he is The Savior of the World. What he should be paying more attention to is the devastation in New Orleans and the invasion of the US by Mexican Nationals across the US southern border.

He has his priorities all mixed up. The US should be courting Iran as a major player in the region, not seeking to demolish it like Bush seeks to do with any place that does not belong to his own church.

I don't feel the least bit threatened by Iran, and I didn't feel the least bit threatened by Iraq either. I feel more threatened by George Bush.

Yes, I can, and I would fully support an invasion of Iran. Israel would be our greatest ally along with the British. No nation in the Middle needs a nuclear bomb.

I think there is a chance that Iran's leaders want to start a war.

I think they should get the UN inviolved and try to talk it out and then use sanctions if necessary along with inspections.
