I'm gonna second guess you there pal, and assume that you are not referring to those drug addled new age tofu eaters that sat around in hippie pads pontificating about the state of the world while mostly watching the likes of Nixon and his henchmen do as they liked. If you are referring to the other type that was pro-active, and not afraid to stand up and shout the so-called authority figures down, but could mellow with the best, then yes I am a hippie with Roger McGuinn styled purple glasses, suede fringed coat, beads galore, long hair, top hat, Morrocan shirts, and Frye boots.

Although I grew up in the 60s, I probably was never a hippie. But neither were all the "hippies" who ended up as stock brokers, lawyers and car salesmen.

I am a hippie, though I deny it. I believe in universal beliefs like peace, love, happiness, and freedom. It's more than just being barefoot, having long hair, and liking music from the 60s. To me, it's a system of respect for humanity.

Hippy is just a modern form of pagan. We all are at heart naturally...lots need to wake up to that fact though!
