If he was a good friend, it might be better for you, and his parents, if to talked to them directly. They will feel glad that he had good friends that will remember him, and it may also help you, too.

A good thing to do is the following:
First, if you can afford it, get a small bouquet of flowers. Get a card at the store that says "In deepest sympathy" Read them in detail and find the one that says what you are feeling and what you want to say. Give it to the florist that is delivering the flowers. Either to the funeral home or the parents themselves, your choice. Personally, the parents if you were that close to him.
Then, when you are filling out the card, make it short and sweet, because they will have many other cards to look over.
But when you go to the wake or the funeral, you can tell them abbout the adventures that yall had together. And say, "I remember when...." and make them laugh.

Well try to find a sypathy card that says simple sayings such as sorry about the loss of your son, and you could also say that he was a good friend. You can also find a sympathy card that has just a short simple message inside the card. 29 is awfully young to die of a heart attack, that age is younger then me.

Romans 15:13; 2 Peter 3:18; Psalm 84:11. Those are three really great verses for ya! The list could go on and on but see if you enjoy those ones as much as I do! Lord bless! :)

There are no better words than the ones that come from your own heart! What would you like to hear if you were the parent of a recently deceased son? Look into your mind , heart, and soul and you will get a much better answer than from any of us.

I'm so sorry, to hear about your friend. He was so young. Here is a list, of some sites that might help, with your sympathy card or letter: writeexpress.com, dying.about.com, thefuneraldirectory.com, realsimple.com, and sadly-missed.com. I hope these help!

The best advise I can give you is what ever comes from your heart. Be sincere. I always say " If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. What is worst saying nothing at all or wishing you had? What ever you write or say keep it simple. Actions speak louder than words. Sorry about your friend.

I'd say keep it simple. Explain who you are, if they don't already know you, and say how you felt about him and how sad you are to have lost such a good freind. Wish them well.

Just get a card that has in it what you want to say. Then offer your support and sign it.
