Yes definitely - 'Time for Action' was a sort of hit for them in 1978. I saw them at a local venue in 1998 and still singing it. You are right they are not recognised as a true Mod band - like the Jam were.

That brings back some memories. They were a 1980's Mod revival band. Had 3 Albums and a greatest hits. Ian Paige the lead singer still tours with Ian Paiges Affair

Yes but I don´t remember their music.....
I know I heard it but I dont remember any of it now...this is what I found:
In a period of a little over two years, they posted five releases in the UK Singles Chart, and released three albums. The debut single "Time For Action" reached number 13 in the UK chart, putting them at the forefront of the mod revival movement. More chart success followed with "Let Your Heart Dance", "My World" and "Sound Of Confusion", after which Shelton left the band (eventually joining Dexys Midnight Runners). He was replaced by Paul Bultitude.

After the band split up in 1982, after the two single releases from their final album Business As Usual failed to chart, Cairns went on to form a band called Flag, with Archie Brown from The Bureau.

Secret Affair had a dedicated group of followers called the Glory Boys, who travelled around England to watch the band perform.

William says that he doesn't remember....however if you list a song title, it might jog his memory.
He was way into clubbing at that point in his life.
