ok.. my Science teacher has instructed our class to make cell models! we have been put into pairs (luckily I'm with my best friend) but we have NO idea what to make a cell model out of! we would like it to be edible like you know make it with cake batter and candies.. or even jello and candies.. but we like the cake and candies better! so can you tell me how to do this? like what should be used as the cell wall, mitochondria, golgi bodies, Endoplasmic reticulum, nucles, and so on.. but you dont have to say like Gumball - nucleus.. just give me some ideas.. please.. thanks very much <3

I think the mitochondria could be some party sized chocolate bars... Cut them down through the center to make it flatter. One with a smoothish top... like snickers bars. You know how the snicker bar looks on top, I guess that could look like the inner membrane (sorta kinda)
The Rough ER could be Those willy wonka rope treats, and the Golgi apparatus/smooth ER could be 2 different colors of fruit by the foot. The Nucleus could be a chocolate covered cookie.

Frosting could be the cell wall. Maybe you could use a jelly tape for the ER, and you could add some of those decorative Bee-bees to one to make it rough ER and have some loose for the loose ribosomes.

The golgi could be made out of fruit roll-ups made into the appropriate shape.

You might have to bake a second ball for the nucleus to establish a second (frosting?) membrane inside the cell wall. Maybe you could use those candy-covered licorice bits for chromosomes? They're kind of long and narrow shaped.

Not sure about the mitochondria--maybe some of those ribbon hard candies could be the cristae if you wrapped it in fruit rollup for the membrane?

The Fluid mosaic form is used to describe the plasma membrane because of the fact the phospholipid bilayer has residences reminiscent of fluids and the quite a few proteins and their attachments on the two area of the membrane resemble a mosaic.

Easier if you don't make it edible. Use styrofoam balls, toothpicks, etc
