Esspecially the president.

I certainly hope the President votes! The last thing we need is a President who doesn't exercise democracy.

As far as opinions, everybody is entitled to one. I welcome all political opinions, because there may be someone who doesn't vote who has a great idea about how to fix something.

Although, I think that if you don't vote, you should have a pretty good reason why you don't, because I don't think you should criticize the government if you don't vote (unless, like I said, you have a good reason). Take action if you don't like what's going on.

If you do vote, criticize away.

I believe that NOT voting is a reflection on the quality of candidates. I cannot think of a candidate for president who has got more than 50% of the possible vote. I have been a big fan of entering "None of the Above" on my vote, and if "None of the Above" got the plurality of votes, then we should hold them again until someone gets a majority (including the Presidency!).

But try & get an idea like that passed in any of our state legislatures, and you will be waiting a long time.

Because people don't vote does not mean they are lazy, or stupid. Voting is a right AND a privilege. Make the vote mean something instead of stoking dumbpulican and repugnocrat's egos.

I'm glad you asked this ?. I don't know the answer but hopefully someone will answer that will also give me insight.

I get so upset with people that complain and then don't go out to vote. Some respond that they can't keep up with all the issues and/or politicians. I tell them that just because they go to cast a vote they don't have to vote for every single person just the ones that at least mean something to them.

Oh, Buttercup sometimes I also feel the futility but can you imagine the alternative. If all of us that feel that way where would we really be. Please don't take this as a criticism I don't mean it to be.

the president DOES have the right to vote. Voting is a privilege and your duty and unless you have a felony, or are not a citizen of this country you SHOULD vote. For those who don't vote, they need to sit back and shut up. They don't have the right to give their opinion. Their opinion should be given at the polls.

Because people that know anything about politics know that your vote really doesn't matter. All politicians are the same and it doesn't matter who wins the election. They all become money and power hungry and could really care less about the "issues" that mean so much to us. Those "issues" just become a way for them to get your vote the next time around.

I do vote, BTW. Even though it's an effort in futility.

They like to brag around and tell what the government ought to do but they don't want to do their part by voting for the person they think would do the best job. Our lives and country and future depend on it.
Sometimes the best man looses because of the people who didn't vote didn't think their vote counted.

Did you do a spell check before you posted this question? Now if you check your history, there was news footage of both Bush and John Kerry casting their votes on November 3, 2004.
Especially<---that's how you spell that word. By the way do you vote????
