I have 3 answers to this question, and I have already thought about ranking them and I just can't. So in no particular order:

Steve Carrell- ridiculously hilarious in The Office, but also priceless in Little Miss Sunshine

Will Ferrell- I'm not sure I can decide, they've all been so good. Obviously best on SNL (nothing beats the Cow Bell!) but also great in Zoolander, Old School

Vince Vaughn- Best in Wedding Crashers

Cary Grant. Here was a guy who was a fine serious actor as well, but he knew timing, and had a great expression. Sure there were funnier actors, but couldn't act as well. There were better actors, who just weren't funny. I think Grant was the best combination. Love Groucho Marx as well.

Favorite funny movie for Cary Grant for me was Bringing Up Baby with Arsenic and Old Lace a close second.
