Like when a woman has her period, is losing blood now and then healthy for you? How does it work, your body producing more blood. If you never cut yourself or lose any blood, can you get too much blood?

Your body adds more blood from the bone marrow and subtracts it with the liver to keep just the right amount on hand. If you start messing with the balance you could throw things too much either way. It is impossible to have too much blood without having some kind of disease (you would definitely know if you had it). Many people lose too much blood and need transfusions, but usually if you just have a healthy diet your body will make up the loss very efficiently.

i dont think you can get too much blood, having a period and losing that blood is gfood thats a way of gettin rid of some toxins that are in your body, think about it if you lose blood your body makes plenty more and it would take alot of blood lose for it to hurt ya, besides i cut myself all the time in the work i do and when i have my period its like a water fall, theres so much blood sometimes i wonder but its apart of a womens life. its one of the things God makes happen to us.......

Loosing blood by way of your cycle is normal and has to occur, but loosing blood through a wound is not good if it is a lot.the average adult carries 5 to 6 liters of blood or as any medical professor will say "the body's blood volume is just enough".if you loose blood faster than the body can generate it the body will decompensate and go into shock shunting blood from the extremities to profuse your vital organs such as heart, lungs, kidneys and liver.
