We have a public sewer, so no worries about a drain field. We don't have a garbage disposal... will it matter?

In time it will stop up your line, best thing is to put in trash or same and add to your potting soin or garden, plants love coffee grounds.

A few is OK, like when you are rinsing out the basket. But the whole load, probably not. The culprit is the oil in the grounds, when it hits the cold drain pipes in your house, it will congeal and stick to the pipes and cause problems.

It would be best to start using coffee filters, as it would eliminate putting any grounds down the sink.

Sinks normally have soap and oils deposited into them. This coats the piping. The coffee grounds will stick to the sides of the piping and cause a clog.

No... They will clog your sink drain. Throw them into a used plastic bag (without any holes!) and then rinse your coffee maker in the sink... those few grounds will not hurt.

Peace

They will stick to grease in the pipes, but now and then pour very hot water down them and that should loosen them. Remember the used grounds are also a good mulch for Rose bushes.

No, it's not ok. It may (or will) the drain to flood. Can you bag it and put in a garbage can?

I would not place coffee grounds down my sink. Think of it as garbage. You wouldn't put that down your sink right? also think of keeping your pretty sink free of nasty stains.Think tidy kitchen.
