I am throwing an office party for St. Particks day and I need some ideas. It had to be a luncheon at the office, so no bar crawls or drinking, but I need something to get the employees at our other sites to come. Any sugestions would be GREAT!

Decorating wise...I'd go to Wishing Well. They have a bunch of items to help celebrate the Irish holiday. Food wise...a local Albertson's or Raley's can help pull a couple personal platters together. Have a great party!

We did this at my office a few years back. We had a "best St. Patrick's Day t-shirt contest". Some people made their own, others bought them, and we e-mailed out ballots for who had the best and everyone went around the office and checked out everyone's and voted and during lunch the winner was chosen. Absolutely hilarious. People were all decked out in beads and hats and all manner of silly-ness! I recommend. I think some people bought their stuff from www.stpattys.com.

Soda bread is very Irish and after Valentine's day you'll be able to find it in stores. It's very easy to make. My mom makes corned beef and cabbage every year for St. Pat's, that's more an American version of Irish food. When I was in Ireland, we had fish and chips(french fries), one night i had cottage pie (shepherd's pie)

How about a 'Tackiest Irish Souvenir' contest, Irish songs karaoke, 'Quiet Man' quiz (yes, such quiz books exist - sadly), a quiz sheet with guess which US presidents had Irish ancestry, then take them to Mass as St Patrick would have wanted himself.

Maybe some nice loaf of bread, a few board games, cookies, even maybe a happy St.Patrick's day sign. Yopu can also do some contest, like whoever pinches the mpst people or who wheres the most green. I hope you like my advice!

If you allowed to consume alcohol during this function I suggest beer with some green food coloring. I would get as many green food items as possible and have some silly little contests to encourage everyone to dress in green and to have some fun.

make all the food green along with the punch. green rolls, green beans, green potatoes, lettuce,green cookies, use green food coloring in everything
