Just because the Gov't can control something does not mean that it would then become legal. I think that the gov't should just legalize marijuana, just like cigarettes and cigars. The amount of money they would make off of legal sales of this commodity would more than likely pay off our national debt in less than 10 years, and become a debt-free country. Besides, have you honestly ever heard of someone high on pot to go rob a 7-11 so that he could get his next hit? NO! He/she might take a chocolate bar, but not rob the store for money..too stoned to walk straight never mind think and act well enough to rob someplace. And before some cronic go "blah blah blah", I know that there are LOTS of you out there that smoke pot on a very regular basis and the average person has no idea that you smoke it at work, or anywhere for that matter, never mind even be able to tell that you just finished smoking one two minutes ago-I have been smoking marijuana for over 30 years now, and I will say that 95% of the people I know cannot tell when I have smoked (and yes I have asked in a general way many of the people I know, and they are all clueless!) I usually get people asking me whats wrong if I have not smoked a joint in a couple hours-am I coming down with the flu or something? NO! Just really need to smoke another joint is all!

By the federal laws against drugs, the Government does control it and a lot of other substances it considers "controlled substances". Right? You should watch that show on cable "Illegal Drugs and How They Got That Way". When you see how much damage drugs have caused, it isn't any wonder why the government decided to make marijuana illegal. Take drugs out of the picture that means less damage to people. Hello?!?!?!?!?!?!???!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely it would!
It's always about the money and it's foolish to think otherwise.
If marijuana was legal, people with cancer, glaucoma, ms, etc., would have easier access and would be able to relieve much of their suffering.
Right now, only certain states make marijuana legal for medial purposes.

while the government describes abuse as smoking it, how are you able to are making it criminal and forestall abuse? Hell, pharmaceuticals are abused, that's human nature to like to regulate our understanding on social gathering and no regulation or absence of a regulation will exchange that. that's only a plant that people want to smoke and make rope and not something greater, legalize it already. the respond under me, super element. that's criminal right here in Colorado to enhance your very own in case you have the money for $ninety.00 and a circulate to to a "eco-friendly" physician to get a scientific card. Loving the buds turning out to be.

I imagine if they could find an easy way to collect taxes from its sales, they would legalize it.
