For the drivers side low beam lamp just reach in between the battery and the headlamp assembly. On the top right (towards the driver's front fender) there will be a 3 inch round rubber cap. Remove the cap then twist the bulb assembly ( bulb and wiring harness clip) counterclockwise and then detach the bulb from the wiring clip. The passenger sid is exactly the same except you must first remove the air filter cover( three screws ) to gain access to the bulb cover. The high beams are the same but they are the inside covers (closest to the radiator). As with all late model headlight bulbs, DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS OF THE BULB with your fingers, as the oil from your skin will , when on, superheat the bulb and cause it to burst and you will have to get new bulbs again.

if it is you notice the tab on top of the assembly
most new cars/trucks have this type headlamp assembly.
just open your hood to the truck, look around and behind the assembly you will find it's held in by screws from the tabs on the assembly,
just take a driver (#2 phillips is common) and back out the screws then bring out the assembly slowly and you will find the lamps are held in with a pressure clamp.
just twist counter clockwise and will pop loose carefully take them out you will find the bulbs attached to the clamps. carefully set the bulbs down where not get dirty or broken.
take assembly to your parts store and get a replacement assembly and or bulbs needed. come back home and put back together in reverse order ...
good luck.

When the engine gets real hot are the fans coming on ? Another thing it sounds like is you have an air pocket in the system . Did you use the bleed valve on the heater hose by the water pump ? That is there to bleed out the air to fill the coolant all the way . One other possibility is the impeller on the water pump might be slipping . They make an upgraded one as this did happen a lot . They are cheap and easy to change .
