Why do so many of you believe in asian stereotypes?

I'd like to know a few things. As an asian (chinese, specifically) girl living in China, I've been curious and have been searching on the internet. Why do/may so many of you believe in cultural/racial stereotypes? Is it because you were raised to believe as such, or you just stick to what you think because you know no better? I've seen unbelievably idiotic statements such as 'asian girls are submissive and exotic' or 'some chinese girls think fat guys are better because they are all thin so only fat men are powerful.' I'm only talking for myself, but there is no one who could call me passive.

I can't cook. I love debating. I'm Christian. English is my first language, with Mandarin and Cantonese following a close second. I'm independent. I'm a feminist. I'm easily angered, and I have little tolerance. Where does it fit into this ideal asian girl? I've seen many of you here talk confidently - and ridiculously about asians.

Let's discuss racism and ignorance bini......

When asked "Why is it that we never hear about minorities being racist against white people?" you responded "Only people who are in Power are Racist" LOL when they were dealing out brains you must have gotten a defective one. YOU are one of the most racist people I have ever met and last time I checked, the Philippine islands arn't exactly a world power. You even admitted to it. "i must admit i am prejudice" was stated BY YOU when asked who all was honestly prejudice on here.

Other racist quotes by you: "generally yes Asians is smarter" So what your saying is that the Asian race is genetically superior as far as intellect goes? By the way it's "Asians ARE smarter".

...and yes we don't like being on the recieving end of racism any more than you do bini but I prefer not to fight racism with more racism, unlike yourself

The word "prejudice" has multiple definitions, bini. One othose is: unreasonable feelings, opinions, or attitudes, esp. of a hostile nature, regarding a racial, religious, or national group. (webster, 2006)

Point being- EVERY SOCIETY/CULTURE HAS RACISM. IT IS NOT JUST THE WHITES OR THOSE IN POWER

I could join in the discussion, but I wonder why.

I find asian women absolutely beatiful and adorable. The asian women who I know are much more focused on their targets and know what they want.
I am aware that some men think in that stereotype described by you, but since it's not the case, I cannot explain to you where it comes from.

I like energetic, dominant asian women.

i don't think of it incredibly is in basic terms a stereotype, it incredibly is incredibly form of a cultural element and variety of authentic. I admit, i'm Asian and my mothers and fathers do not push me in any respect. in reality, they inspired me to not pass to varsity. however the super majority of my acquaintances are Asian, and all of them have pushy *** mothers and fathers. they does not enable my acquaintances carry out with me lots, through fact they needed them to earnings for college and SAT and do college utility.. I swear, i pass to a 75% Asian college, and all my classmates ever do is ***** approximately how loopy their mothers and fathers are approximately their grades.

it's called IGNORANCE

and they know nothing about Asian culture. they just like to talk and they stereotypes all Asian based on were they get their education the TELEVISION.


Point being Grayshore. is that i didn't say I'm racist i said i can be prejudice. i don't like McDonald's i like burger king. that is prejudice.
