how do i convert data files to dvd an play on dvd players? do i need a program an were is it?

when i down load movies they only play on pc's i need to learn how to convert them to play on dvd players.

The movies you are downloading are most likely encoded using the Xvid, windows media video or mpeg codec. Some dvd players can play these files but most can't.

Either way you need software that will convert your video to dvd vob files.

I use Tmpgenc for transcoding and make the dvd using Adobe Encore DVD but thats to complicated for starters.

If you have nero you could use nerovision express (part of nero digital), but you would need to purchase/steal keys for additional plugins to be able to make them into dvd's.
