first I don't know how Laura Bush fits into this (havn't heard anything). As for Brandy, well I have not heard all of the circumstances of the accident. I know she "slammed" into the back of one car, it rammed another car that one then went into traffic and was hit. The person in the 3rd car was killed.
1. We don't know what caused Brandy to hit the first car..was she distracted (by child, etc.)
2. What part did the second car involved play..did they not see her coming, could they not move etc.
3. That why they call it an accident.....
I don't think it has to do with either race or class. If the investigators do their job and show how, why, etc. and prove it to be her fault then she should pay the penalty.
I've never heard a thing about her doing anything wrong, acting badly etc. so I have to think it was an accident that any of us could have had. I feel for her but I hope that justice will prevail.

I haven't heard the connection between Mrs. Bush and Brandy either, However, the fact is she caused a huge motor vehicle accident that caused a woman to DIE. Brandy may be a nice girl, well liked, whatever, but the fact still remains she is responsible for causing a woman to lose her life.....If it was you or I , first of all, there would be no public outcry to keep us out of jail, we would be charged with Vehicular Manslaughter, thrown in jail and the key tossed away, sued by the family for damages, and then we would be forgotten, locked in "the system".......What makes her any less deserving of what the general public would go through that didn't have "fancy lawyers" sitting there. She is not above the law. But fret not, she won't go to jail, she'll pay off the family, be put on probation, community service, and be forgotten because some other news headline will consume the headline..........

For those who don't understand the reference to Mrs. Bush:

"At 17, Laura Bush ran a stop sign and crashed into another car, killing her boyfriend who was driving it, according to an accident report released to The Associated Press on Wednesday."

Apparently this information first came to public attention Wednesday, May 3, 2000.

Since the news was published by the Associated Press and not retracted, it would appear to be factual rather than an urban myth.

Sorry-did I miss the news of Laura killing someone? Brandy is charged because, according to released accounts of the accident, she was following to close and not paying attention to road conditions (IE traffic ahead of her had slowed and she maintained her speed). I have heard nothing of drugs or booze. But still, failure to follow road conditions and causing an accident are major issues. To all of us (I include myself) this should be a reminder that using the phone, fiddeling with buttons, talking to kids in the backseat-all are reasons we don't pay attention, but they are not excuses we can use if god forbid we cause harm to another person. I feel bad for Brandy-I can't imagine how it would feel to know you caused an accident like that. But, driving is not a right and we don't get to say "oops" if we cause someone injury because we weren't paying attention to raod conditions for whatever reason. If Brandy is charged, she will have to go to court and that process will decide what happens. Either way, it is a terrible thing to have to live with for the rest of her life and it is awful for the victims family that they will have to relive this for years as thier loved one will be known as "the woman Brandy killed".

---Accident is a term-vehicular manslaughter is the charge and this can happen to anyone. If you are found to have caused the death of somone with your vehicle (regardless of the "accident") then you can be charged and tried on this. In VA following to close means you are at fault if a guy stops short in front of you or changes lanes quickly-if you are too close then you are at fault. Scarey!

Who's husband started a bogus war and killed over 3000 Americans and 50000 innocent Iraqi citizens....? Brandy's thing was an accident, Laura's hubby did his on purpose...based on lies and greed. No class in that entire family. Plus she raised two alcoholic skanks for daughters....now that is real class....NOT.
