Society plays a part, but you make you the person you are. For example, you see a man larger then you hitting a woman. What would you do? That's on you, society will only report your action.

In cases of "dead fish swimming along the stream", a person is completely dependant on society, and society makes the whole person....if a person is someone who find new paths and leave footprints for others, then society has got nothing to do with the person and his personality...

How does the " person you are " make society ?? Think, instead of regurgitating social science concepts out on to the page.

Society contributed o the person you are mainly in the experiences you have and the way you handle them. It basic cause and effect. If we all grew up in society that only wore the color purple we would think it strange if we went somewhere where all they wore is orange. Experiences and our society make us who we are. Is almost like we absorb it so that's what we out out.

Society CAN make you the person you are. But not always. Society can directly or indirectly affect any one.

Society has "un-written" rules set in place, when one follows these specific rules then society is kind on you, when one pushes the envelope and does not obey these set rules society makes it hard for you to function with in it, therefore society shapes one or makes you who you are so that you can fit in and function. if you do not follow then society labels you "outcast" and thus makes you this person. you become rebel as to not be part of any "societies". society dictates who you are if you want to fit in and be "normal".

It's called stimulation or conditioning.
The best way to see this is through the media generated manufactured consensus.
Here we are conditioned to a conclusion in a precognitive manner
Via media stimulation of a particular program that has an agenda while maintaining a myth to support an assumption you are getting all the facts, thus leaving one feeling that He/She is learning freely something totally true.
In simple terms it is called media mass manipulation .

Socialization interacts with biology to form every aspect of who you are. In reality, there are know choices. You are merely a sponge with certain genetic predispositions.

there are three things:
The one you think you are,
The one the others think you are, and
the one you really are.
so society can affect you in any of these levels, depending on your weakness in getting affected by it.
