Remember this rule, you can sue anybody for anything, however, it doesn't mean you are going to win.

I don't know where you live but most states have small claims statutes which allow private citizens easy access to the courts. There are limits on the amount of money you may seek. Typically they range from $3000 to $10,000.

This sounds like some sort of intentional infliction of emotional distress claim. Problem is you have to have damages. You are upset and hurt I am sure. Did you go to the doctor? Taking pills? Going for counseling? If not, you may not be awarded much money, if any.

The other part of the rule above is that even if you win, can you collect your winnings? If the "friend" that did this to you doesn't work and/or has no money, what good will your judgment do you if you win? You can't collect it.

Like I said, I'm sure you are hurt. Perhaps you should just move on and forget about it. Time will heal. This isn't what you want to hear but it's the reality of the situation.

Finally, I want you to think about the true meaning of the word "friend." It is used loosely these days. Everybody has all these "friends." No you don't. You are lucky if you have one or two friends. A friend keeps your confidences. They don't talk about you to others. They give you the shirt off their back in your time of need. Anyone who is not true to you, but you know them, is called an "acquaintance."

No, not really. You could try to sue for emotional damages, but usually judges just throw that out. It would be a waste of your parents' money.
You should be able to get the school to give him detention or something, since he was misbehaving on school grounds.

Trust me. If this is the most you will ever be hurt in your life then you can consider yourself blessed.

Consider it a learning experience and move on.
