I came across an ebay auction with a jersey for Joe Montana. It was a National Jersey with the number 19? He wore that number with the Chiefs, but they are American. I can't find any rosters anywhere online, but it is a debate on another forum.

the jersey says NATIONAL on it so it cannot be from the 93 season where he was in the AMERICAN conference. Clearly stated above.

Montana was voted to the Pro Bowl in the 1993 season. Although he was injured part of that season the Chiefs still went to the playoffs and even made it to the AFC Championship game. Montana made it to the Pro Bowl after the 1993 season and wore the number 19 to the Pro Bowl.

It is possible..there was a time when the players could not wear the same number as another player in the Pro Bowl. If some other player wore the 16 he may have worn the 19...
