Of corse Travis Hafner

Hafner is a DH, he only plays first base in interleague games, can't include him.

It really comes down to Pujols and Howard. Pujols has more years in the majors, and been extremely consistent. Howard looks like he has more power in him, but Pujols has better contact. So you could give Howard the edge in offense, but first base isn't just an offensive position. Albert Pujols won the gold glove at first base last year, and probably would have won it the year before if Derrek Lee hadn't played so well. So Pujols is a little worse hitter, better on defense, and has some speed. Pujols can steal 10+ bags a year. He is the best all-around player in the majors.

Oh and to the guy who said Pujols has a better lineup around him. Edmonds and Rolen don't match up to Chase Utley and Jimmy Rollins - two guys with 30+ hit streaks.

It's Pujols for now. I'd like to see Howard do it for another year or two before putting him in Pujols' class.

I'm a Bucco fan, so I'll mention Adam LaRoche just for the hell of it. Remember all of those balls flying into the Allegheny River at last year's home run derby? PNC Park is taylor made for a guy like LaRoche to put up great numbers. Oh yeah, he's a great defensive player too.

Also look for Derek Lee to be the comeback player of the year.

Albert Pujols, without a doubt. Pronk (Hafner's nickname for all those who dont know) is awesome and all, but he gets less games at first than David Ortiz.

Pujols's number are so easy to look it, you dint even need to crunch them.
he's 300 avg. 30 homeruns, power to all fields, 100 rbi's, 120 runs, 85 walks., and that just the bottom line, just think of what he can actually do in a good season. probably something around 345 avg, 65 homeruns, 140 rbi's 135 runs, 100 walks. Not to mention he's learning how to play gold glove caliber first.

Albert Pujols. He will go down as one of the all-time greats now that he has a championship.

Howard needs a few more years to prove he isn't a flash in the pan.

Ryan Howard and/or Albert Pujols

Pujols and Howard

Pujols gonna be consistent for his whole career.

Howard, no one really knows how well he'll do. He might of had a lucky season or he will be conistent like pujols and hit 45+ homers every year.

have to go with Ryan Howard. Yes I think Pujols is a hell of a talent, but think of what Ryan Howard would do batting with Edmonds and Rolens around him. He would be a better hitter getting better pitches to hit, just like Pujols

Well MLB has some really good ones right now. Hafner, Howard, Puljos, Texeira - any of these guys are solid!
