i have grandpa who looks mestizo mexican but they claim his dad was white ideny it cause he didnt look white my grandpa they say he look like a white man he was dark brown how can a suntann me you look mexican and none of his kids look white

Hmmm, sounds like they are denying a part of their heritage. Back in the days it was unacceptable to be anything but white, so a lot of people who had a mixed heritage but "could" pass for white did say they were white.
