Antacids are not of help. Antacids destroy natural manures of earth. Some antacids are not even alkalis.

They have tried putting calcium hydroxide in lakes. It increased the pH but did not help the wildlife that were already affected. We need to stop the acid rain at its source, industry burning coal. There is treatment for the coal an the smoke.
Check your references for liming of lakes
