How did you find juggling work/study/social life?

I am considering doing my MBA in London part-time, 1 or 2 evenings a week, while I continue with my career during the day...

I am worried that I am paying a lot of money to be miserable for 1.5-2 years? I know it would be a great sense of achievement and enhance my career immensely... but all that hard work sounds really daunting!

Anyone out there got any advice? Or recommend any colleges in central london?

I know what you mean but if that qualification in return will do much in your favour - future- and you feel its too much then just do the course, I know we need money but look after money too, is just that I was doing a course and I have come to realise now that I should have completed it as Im very hardworking but why coulnt I complete it ? it was because I was doing a job both got me really tied , I ended up leaving the job which I glad but couldnt complete the course which I feel disappointed , I should have stop doing the job realiseing it is hard it too much which it was and I needed at least a few months to get myself back again , so now I'm concentrating on stuying and feel alot better , hopefully do work , but the main thing is education is education you can always get job, but that qualification is a one time thing , think wisely , good luck I hope you every success for you future and hope whatever you decision to be the right one for you .

My husband did it with the OU over a couple of years while working long hours as well. He managed by doing a lot when travelling - on planes etc & spending the odd weekend blitzing it when it was assignment time. With the OU you only have to do a few on-site courses, the rest is up to you.

He coped really well because he was very disciplined about getting it done. It didn't impact that much on our free time together & it was really worth the effort to get the qualification & has definitely helped with the job progression.

Go for it, but understand that it is a commitment and you need to be disciplined with it but the goal is worth it.
