I get a full nights sleep every night, but I am constantly tired. I could take a 3 hour nap every day. I eat a lot of carbs to stay energized but it doesn't really help. Can someone help me find a remedy to feel more awake?? Thanks.

U need to see a doctor you may have chronic fatigue syndrome. Also you need to have your blood count check. You should defiantly see a doc!

Well, I don't know any specifics about what's going on in your life right now...but if you are stressed out or really depressed, that causes chronic fatigue syndrome. It makes you want to sleep all the time and no matter how much sleep you get, your body doesn't feel rested. (don't get me wrong - not everyone w/ stress or depression has this...) CFS symptoms also include body aches, lack of appetite or over-active appetite, headaches, feeling disconnected, night sweats and body chills, etc.
If you are not feeling any of those, it's possible that you're getting too much sleep. I didn't think that was possible, but it is. I used to sleep around 10-11 hours per night when I was a teenager and I was always tired. I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I got so MUCH sleep that my body couldn't wake up. I started staying up a few extra hours and ended up getting 7-8 hours of sleep per night and I felt much better. You might want to try cutting back a bit. I hope that helps!
Good luck.

Sometimes, too much sleep can be just as bad as not enough sleep. I'm 19 and run on about 7 hours of sleep per night. I used to be the same way as you though. I would go to bed at midnight and sleep until 3:00 the next afternoon and still be exhausted. Since I joined the Navy, I have been forced to run on smaller hours of sleep and I don't get anywhere near as tired as I used to.

It could be diabetes if your drinking and peeing a lot. But it could also be a tyroid problem you'll have to have blood work done to find that out but thats simple if it is that it only a pill a day. That was my problem and I have the energy now.

Maybe u are sleeping too much. If you receive too much or too little sleep, you will have that fatigued feeling. I wouldnt suggest more than 7-8 hrs per night

You could be lacking Iron. This often contributes to feeling tried. Try taking some iron supplements. Or eat more iron rich foods like spinach.

You may be anemic where your iron level is low causing fatigue. I suggest you take an iron supplement daily to resolve this problem. You may even want to consider having some blood work done by your doctor.
