This man I see in a professional capacity acts weird around me. He's really lovely but struggles to maintain eye contact longer than a few seconds before looking away and stuttering. He seems really nervous. We get on famously and talk about normal stuff more than what I normally see him about. He falls over himself to help me but just keeps stuttering and looking foolish! Very sweet really but it seems a bit strange. He isn't like this when talking to other people, just me. Is it me - am I intimidating?

He may have a drug or alcohol problem that he feels would be obvious if you were to look at his eyes for any length of time because they are very dilated and he has an inability to focus and as such tends to look glazed or tired. The other people he acts normal around possibly know about his habits plus I get the impression he's in a larger group and there's many distractions so its less noticeable. Your contact with him maybe on a more private basis like a small office with little distraction and an intensity to the how you interact and its the environment you're in that's intimidating however it still points towards him really liking you because if he didn't care what you thought he would make no effort to to cover it up

You could be intimidating, but then again he could just fancy the pants off you which sounds far more likely. Either that or he's socially inadequate and doesn't know how to behave around women. Watch how he is with other women at work - if he's "normal" with them, then he probably fancies you!

I'd say it depends on what professional capacity it is you occupy to him - he could simply have a crush on you too - prob one or the other.
