There's got to be a website with tricks for things like this. I don't care of it leans at all and stays straight up -- so long as it doesn't flip backwards. Thanks.

It looked interesting, they may have something you can use.

each cellular has DNA and it is consisted of two strands tightly woven around one yet another. the ingredient that forestalls the two strands from breaking aside is named a telomeric cap (that's random nucleotide sequences called nonsense codons. Codon is a three series of nucleotides that codes for amino acids eg. CUU is a amino acid called proline . A nonsense codon is one that doesnt code for any amino acid manufacturing) every time your cells divide a small series is lost there by way of reducing the steadiness of the cellular's DNA (in layman's words). this might at last lead do maximum of Ur cells' DNA transforming into risky. and frequently while a mistake occurs in DNA the cellular will carry out automobile cytolysis (cellular suicide) to steer away from problems. So once you're previous maximum of ur cells telomeric caps would be low and that they are services to die while they attempt to divide.. Whats fairly exciting approximately this theory is the result it has on evolution (using fact this occurs on the two meiotic besides as mitotic divisions. using fact of this a species grows previous too before it mutates.. yet thats a various tale)

Your problem is not unusual on old chairs. Assuming it is an old wood and seat office chair and that the leg base is not broken, you may have broken or missing one or more parts. If the threaded screw which adjusts the height is 1" diameter, you can replace the mechanism. If it is not 1", you will also have to replace the Hub to accept the 1" thick threaded screw. Click "Manual Mechanism" and "Hub".

I'd throw it in the trash, overhand of course (so it doesn't lean backwards) Just my opinion though.

weld a metal beam from the back of the chair to the base. that should fix it
