You need to study around two or three times a day ( depending on time to spare ) . Instead of studying continuously for a long period ( a big mistake by many students). Have a break in between the two or three study periods. Chose a good environment in which to study. For example, if you study in the bedroom or living room during one study session, go outside and sit somewhere for the next. This will stop you from feeling bored being in one place all the time and the changes will keep you awake. Make sure you have a good rest at night, and if you are tired after coming home , sleep for 30 minutes just to knock off the sleep.

Man, I was just thinking of asking this question! Right now I'm eating an orange and listening to Spamalot - that wakes me up but I'm still not motivated!
Setting goals is good - like, 20 pages and I get to shower. Or, visualizing how you'll feel when you're finished with your work (if that's possible).
And.... NoDoz. Just don't do more than two a morning, if you haven't build up a tolerance.
Good luck!

Don't study for hours straight; it will only wear you out and be very ineffective. The best way to stay energized is to take small breaks to relax with a cup of tea or do some yoga stretches or some other exercise. This will help your mood and endurance.

Try coffee or caffiene. But the best thing to do is rest a bit. The harder you study without some rest, the worse you will feel and you won't learn anything.

Be careful trying to work through exhaustion. There comes a point where your work gets so sloppy, and you no longer remember what you study, that it is better to go to bed, and get up and start again.

You need to put more sulphur and glucose into your neurons and more caffeine into your blood stream. It works for me and it's never failed.
