I spent two happy weeks at this school in 1950. Can remember that nearby was a subterranean labyrinth occupied by German soldiers during the Occupation. Am visiting the town this year as a "memory lane" trip. Would love to rediscover the school and the area. Can anyone help me locate where I was??? !!!

Description This district has been nicknamed the "Switzerland of the Dordogne" due to the river-front châteaux and vine-clad hills of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec.

In Bourg is the Château de la Citadelle which has a museum and a maze of underground tunnels.

Nine miles along the river is the town of Blaye which is also of Roman origin and features a well-preserved citadel above the harbor. Inside the citadel there is a small village with pleasant gardens, ruins of the Château des Rudel and a 17th century monastery. Blaye has 5,000 inhabitants and a long main street of shops and cafes.

When I saw the first part of your question, I thought it was something like asking who was buried in Grant's tomb.

The people who will be able to help you will locating it will be some of the older folk (70's and 80's) who live in the area. They will remember. Some of the younger ones will remember the labryrinth. Hope you find it and have a happy trip down memory lane.
