Try the middle ground and be confident not overconfident. Some women find self pity attractive because they have the need to help someone other women No.

*smiles* See, your first problem is the generalisation, "do women" the answer is NO but the question "does a woman" can be easier to answer, the problem most men (and women) get into is assuming that people of the oppostie sex are motivated by the same things, based simply on their gender... I assume you have a particular woman in mind. Here is my advise, get to know her, observe how she interacts with other people, what are the people closest to her like, how do they act. Do not act a particular way to get her interest, because once she gets to know you she will see through your false overconfidence, or if you go the other route, get tired of your whining. I noticed another reply that stated " overconfident guys get hot chicks" Well maybe they do because they are able to talk to hot chicks, and have the balls to ask them out, but if you notice, and look closely, those relationships never last too long. Don't spend so much time trying to find out what she wants so you can give it to her, if you do you are not only being a deciever, you are wasting both her time and yours.

Self pity is definitely not attractive, overconfidence is better but I'd opt for confident as being the most attractive though!

NO NO NO!! Self pity is not attractive but then neither is overconfidence (also known as "arrogance"). A happy medium is what's called for - someone who's confident and sure of themselves and can deal with life in general but who doesn't have that cocky attitude - yuk, very unattractive!

The worst thing you can do is have self pity or give off the appearance that you have any confident problems. It is a turn off and it will drive women away worse than body odor or bad breath. When you wallow in your self pity, you in effect tell women, "I am not together with myself, I have problems, and you don't want to be a part of my life".

On the other hand, too much confiedence can be a bad thing too. You want to be confident, but to the point you are a concieted a**hole.

I would think most people would not find self pity attractive nor would they find being overconfident attractive. My opinion is somewhere in between.

LOL!!!! Can you imagine the look on a woman's face when a loser is begging her for a pity date? Put the shoe on the other foot and think if that would appeal to you.

Women expect for a man to be strong, so self-confidence is probably more attractive than a groveling loser who can't find anyone else.

self pity is a person crying out before they need meds or do suicide.. it isn't attractive .. and neither is being overly confident, it is arrogant.. but...I rather be confident and project that kind of good energy of reiki than woe is me.. as the down is me, syndrome will make you ill psychically and mentally sick...we all in life have problems to deal with this is called life...
