Why would people think that Iran should be attacked?
Are supportors of war aware of the consequences that may follow even after bombarding Iran's nuke facilities?
In case you didn't know, Iran is a member of the NPT and follows all the rules and regulations regarding nuclear enrichment. This is unlike India, Pakistan and Israel.
Bush even gave additional nuke technology to India! And the CIA had already concluded that Iran's nuke program does not necessarily threaten anyone.
Why do you think that Bush would seriously consider attacking Iran? Is it because of oil and Iraq?

Henry_56, sure Iran president is a radical. But he is definately not stupid. If we are going up against Iran, it wouldn't be as easy as it was in Iraq. Remember that the Iranians fought a bloody war with Saddam's forces.
I doubt whether Israel would live in peace with its current policies against the Palestinians. From all that is seen in the Middle East, there would never be peace through war. Only justice can bring peace.

Do_you_see what_happens_Larry: dude, get your facts straight. Al Queda is Sunni and Iran is Shia. If a Shia shows up in Al Queda's door, they would rather decapitate him and play football with his head.
How do you think that it will be successful after the failures in Iraq? You are way too naive.

no it would not be wise considering the way those people fight, and the amount of experience they have in combat.
one hting is for sure...we have only lossed rough;y 3000 troops so far in Iraq, but those people have just started dressing like our troops.
how long is it before our own troops start kiing each other because they aren't sure if the American dressed guy approaching them is a suicide bomber or not?
do you think Iranians won't do this from the start?
Iranians are far beter organized, far better equiped, and have a couple shadows getting ready to pounce on our homeland once we get tied up in Iran, i fear.
It may be "right" to invade them, but it definitely wouldn't be wise.

this is damn close to impossible to over-exaggerate the importance of this concern. right here 3 factors make this such an explosive cocktail which will blow up in our faces: a million. Iran is springing up nuclear "potential" which it for sure does not choose for, in actuality this is springing up a nuclear bomb. 2. If Iran does advance a nuclear bomb decrease than the radar of the west then it could have the potential to apply it in any way it needs because it has no longer signed the proliferation treaty. 3. The president of Iran is an entire and utter madman. he has already denied that there are any homosexuals in his united states and expressed a desire to "wipe Israel off the map". this is for those motives that i've got self belief that the west might desire to launch a pre-emptive strike against Iran. it ought to be now earlier this is purely too overdue and we are up against a rustic with nuclear weapons.

First of all, you don't know what the CIA concluded. You know what's in the press releases. Iran has stated that their nuclear research is primarily in support of an energy program. Sure, and so's ours (no sarcasm here, it's true); but the same technology used to operated our nuclear reactors is the basis of nuclear weapons technology.
They consistently exhibit hostility toward the US and its allies, and that contempt has become increasingly arrogant. I don't believe the timing is a coincidence. The international community has a right to oversee the program and stop it if necessary (and it is), and we carry the mantle to lead that charge.
Anyway, I don't believe it'll be a problem. Israel will likely take care of this one.

It doesn't matter if it's right or wrong. If we want to do it we will. All we have to do is doctor-up some intelligent reports, say they have WMD, use the state of the union address to say that they bought uranium then get a high-profile respectable ex-general to go to the UN with bogus information, say they are haven for Al Queda and then bingo, we're in Iran.
Addendum: "...Do_you_see what_happens_Larry: dude, get your facts straight. Al Queda is Sunni and Iran is Shia. If a Shia shows up in Al Queda's door, they would rather decapitate him and play football with his head."
Uh...yeah...right, are you familiar with the concept of sarcasm???

In time, it's likely Iran will reveal itself as an aggressor nation. Until the time Iran positions its army on a battlefield, it will be wrong to attack that nation.
Right and wrong has yet been determined.

Iran has announced its intention to nuke Israel and the United States. They are now surging ahead in the development of nuclear weapons and are nearly ready. They are the aggressors in this case and I don't think it is reasonable to ask these two announced victimes, Israel and the US, to sit on their hands correctly until they are destroyed. I'd like to hear IRAN's answers to these charges, not those of the intended victims.
