as short a time as possible, when a prime minister steps down, there should be another general election and the people should be able to vote again, gordon brown is not the man (fair enough he's the right party, but you cant say you just vote for the party and ignore who the candidate it) that was elected and therefore the country may not agree with his appointment as prime minister, the government stitches us up once again, lol!

The simple answer is we don't!! When Tony Blair resigns we should immediately have a General Election- we didnt vote Gordon in as Prime Minister and he would be a disaster for this country.

He should not become Prime Minister...ever! If and when Phoney Bliar resigns then Parliament should be devolved and a General Election called. The electorate did not vote for him as the PM.

alas the the opposition isn't strong enough to win the next election. Labour will win by default when the 20% or so of the electorate vote.
