im 17 weeks pregnant and been told my amniotic fluid is low. The nurse has told me its borderline. Ive been reading all these stories about the baby not being healthy when this happens. Im worried sick. What are my chances if its borderline. Do anyone know. I have my scan two weeks today to check my babys vital organs.

This happend to a friend of mine. She found out when she was just over 20 weeks. When she was first told about it they told her to make sure she keeps taking her vitamins every day and staying WELL hydrated until further testing was done on it.

Not too much has changed shes almost 30 weeks now maybe just over. They have her doing all kinds of tests such an ultrasounds and non-stress tests and others.

To your doctor you pregnancy should now be high risk. You will probably be going for a lot more ultrasounds.

Try looking it up on google or something im sure you will find a lot of helpful info, more help then people on this site.
Good luck sweetie i hope you and your babe have a good healthy and happy pregnancy (AND TRY NOT TO GET TOO STRESSED OUT!! =P )

I had some issues w/ low amniotic fluid w/ both my children. In both cases, it was b/c I was not drinking enough fluids. Once, I got back on track w/ the fluids, my fluid levels went right up.

My sister had this problem, and everything came out fine. My nephew was huge, and has never had any problems. As long as you know it's an issue, and you're being monitored, just try to relax.
