I had to wait for the battery to die out and then try to turn it on. Then I would charge. It worked for me - don't know if it will work for you, but maybe worth a try.

Otherwise take it back to where you bought it or an Apple store, they may be able to help you more.

toggle the hold switch on, and then off(even if it really doesn't go off hold) and hold the menu and select buttons down at the same time to reset you ipod. i don't know if it will work, but i think that should overwrite the hold

no point if the hold button is stuck....if u still got ur guarantee send it off to get fixed or go to a shop where they will fix it for u.

try to reset it hold down the middle button & menu untill the apple logo shows up

take it to a repare shop or to where ever you bought it from and have them look at it!
