It is very beautiful and you will have a fantastic time. Check it out with the rough guide to Kerala and look at www.worldtravelguide.com.
It is cheap with great food etc. You will need a visa though to travel so check this out before you book anything.

Sure......in India,most foreign tourists come to three states mainly-Rajasthan,Kerala and Goa.You are surely going to enjoy your stay there with an elaborate system of backwaters or canals stretching into the state from the Arabian sea,stay in the houseboats,enjoy yoga classes,relax at the beautiful beaches,get some body massage.........also as you have a month time,you can visit the nearby coral islands of Lakshadweep which falls under indian territory,about a couple of hundred Km off the coast of kerala....a great place to chill out,enjoy some diving in shallow seas....Bon Voyage!!!!!

trust me you would love it,and the food is great there.and you would love the back water
don't think go for it if i were in your place i would go for it.
try the yuvarani residency hotel while your in kochin you would love it there,it's got a bar in the hotel where you could have a beeve,good luck and have a good time there.
