Does anyone think authorities over-reacted?

No, I think that they were doing their jobs as they were supposed to do them. I think that when the potential exists for danger to the public the authorities should always err on the side of caution.

Yes they did! They are trying to cover this and turn it into a national threat to take away from the fact that they shut down the city and blew up light brights that looked like ATHF characters. Someone thought they would be a heros for crushing the plot-instead they are the butt of jokes for not realizing the things were marketing for a movie. When they bew up the mooninites, it was the terrorists who really won;-)

I am from MA and I believe they over reacted, they things were placed in other cities and there wasn't any big fuss. The only reason they are mad is because they made fools of themselves and any one knows it.
