Here, again, is another comment on society. I was looking at this article on the 5 Tips For Everyday Emergencies. It was trying to talk you thru what to do and be more prepared. Here's step 3:

3) Know Enough to Stay Legally Protected

It's a sad state of affairs when you have to worry about the legal ramifications of being a good samaritan. Ok, that's my ***** of the day.

All caused by money hungry lawyers talking people into trying to get something for nothing. It would be interesting to know how many people on this forum, over the age of 18, have sued, how many have sued more than once, and how many are looking for a chance to sue. I see them in the hospital emergency room all the time. Nothing serious wrong, but vague complaints against local businesses. And a cell phone in their hand to call a lawyer.

Oh trust me, it happens. My Dad is a former paramedic, and he's came up on accidents, and by law since he's trained he's suppose to stop, but also by law, he can't really help them because he's been out of the field for so long.

Idiots.

I agree. Try to do something right, and good, and you get a slap in the face. But how do you not help, if you no that you have the ability. I still believe in "do unto others."

I agree with you.People will sue you for anything now and you gotta protect what you worked for. When I was stationed in Germany it was reversed you could get in trouble for not helping someone in distress.

The only difference between a lawyer and a rat is, there are somethings a rat won't do for money.
