If you go to Start - Control panel - user accounts, start by putting a password on the administrator account and you use that. Delete the guest account, and make her a limited user account to use.
It restricts her rights, she won't be able to install or uninstall software. If she has access to the admin acocunt she can change all the settings so it won't matter how much software you install to control what she does!
Theres free parental control software on snapfiles.com and theres probably some on download.com, and they're both safe download sites. You install and configure that and it can't be altered from the ltd account.
In future, ahe'll be able to surf the net but with restrictions. For example, she'll be able to download software to the desktop, but not install it.
You can access the ltd account from Start - my computer on the admin account, so can check everything is as it should be.

Its annoying when other people use your pc and misuse it. But its probably best that you stick to sharing one for now as it gives you more control.
Also, try talking to your daughter, and ask her why she likes these sites - and really listen. Be sure that you're blocking the right sites for the right reasons!

You might want to look at getting a firewall that will block out the websites you're wanting to keep her off of. Also another little tid bit (just a suggestion) you could tell her and make her realize that later on when she's working for a company; if she were to get on websites she's not supposed to she WILL be fired, no ifs, ands, or buts about it.

Get Norton, McAffee, or NetNanny security tools. Set up a profile for her and you can monitor the web useage. NetNanny will also let you set up times of day and individual websites. Be sure to run regular updates within the program to add new sites should she find out about them.
