Recently he re-emerged from obscurity for a stage tour to ‘aid’ Prime Minister Blair. He had changed sides, and was a full blown labour guy now. In a sequel to this show, he is currently touring British theaters.
In the final New Statesman episode he and his assistant Piers Fletcher-Dervish are invited to Russia, where he is somehow responsible for destroying Lenin’s body in the sarcophagi. He and his trusted employee are subsequently sent to Siberia. When his wife, Sarah, arrives to rescue him she has a conversation with the assistant. Glorifying B’Stard, his example in life, Piers admits that, when sex is concerned, his boss is able to be ‘ready’ within minutes, whereas everybody knows it takes him hours. With the prospect of hours of lovemaking the wife quickly takes a decision, rescues the assistant and leaves her husband in the Gulag.
Yet he escapes (I don’t remember how) and starts a new series as a member of the European Parliament. Later he got elected back to the British parliament representing Wales. His opponents had met rather disturbing fates, of course Alan B’Stard had nothing to do with this.
