Any physical force applied to impart a chemical reaction( e.g., breaking of chemical bonds) is physio-chemical reaction.
For example you do laser irradiation to break a chemical bond.You may use x-rays to break the covalent bonds in DNA.
One of the earliest workers to use x-rays to create mutations was Muller of Germany.

Its the opposite reacation that happened everytime my x-boss used to breath or talk !
