Without any doubt the best player has to be Michael Jordan. I mean 6 NBA championships says it all. The guy could take over a game and win it and he is one of the most dominant players ever. He could make an impact on offense and defense. Every game he ever played in is worth a second look. Noone is better or could ever be like Mike.

You guys that are saying Oscar.... you can't just go by stats. Get some film of Oscar playing, watch it, and then watch Jordan. They are at two totally different levels of talent and skill. I'm not saying Oscar sucked, he was a bad man, and would be a good player even today. But compared to Jordan... it is no contest

Oscar Robertson. The only man in NBA history to average a triple double for an entire season. He also came very close to doing the same feat 4 other times in his career.

WOW, I cant believe someone remembered Oscar Robertson! I agree with buster J, who averages a triple double every game? But you have to remember the style of game, rules and regulations have changed through out time. So this question is controversial. But a good question! Keep the opinions coming!

hands down. the best of all time is that 6-6 shooting,dunking, freaking, running and gunning out this world guard out of the University of North Carolina who spent his seasons with the bulls.....you guessed right if you said Michael Jordan.
