The TV rating things make sense.....but I'd like to see the legal backing to their lawsuit.....I'm sure the churches could get away with it somehow by saying that the priests/ministers were going to watch the game, and everyone else just showed up ------it's no different than having a superbowl party, and that's legal.

And is the NFL honestly going to send people out to go and enforce it? God I honestly have no respect for the people who run the NFL...

It makes sense. Like Beano said, in Chicago at Soldier Field they planned a party, but it got cancelled by the NFL. Reason given was that the Nielsen TV ratings can not be accurately compiled because of the mass viewing.

The reason why they will not allow a large "congregation" of people watch the Super Bowl is......................

TV ratings!

The Chicago Park District wanted to charge peeps to watch the game at Solider Field and donate the monies to charity. The NFL said NO!!!!!

If the NFL isn't making money they will make sure to outlaw whatever people try to do .It's always all about$$$$$$ with sports. That's how they pay all these overpaid, overrated athletes.
