you can use the printer with the laptop. you might have to install the printer drivers before you are able to use it though.

if you don't have a router nor wireless on your laptop you can buy another Ethernet card for your pc and run a crossover wire to the laptop. You will be able to do internet sharing.

if you don't have a router but have wireless on you laptop, you can buy a wireless AP for your PC. You will be able to do internet sharing.
