help, i have the pads off and cannot get the piston to go back in, anyone know pls?

i have a winder, the piston just will not go bak in, am i mising something?

no the piston has not come out it has moved slightly further out and i cannot even get the old pads bak in!

On my mondeo the pistons went back the wrong way if you know what i mean?Turning to the left to get them back.Opening the bleed nipple might help as well ,.to release the fluid from behind the piston.Hope this helps you.

Before trying to retract the pistons are you opening the bleeder valve. some vehicles restrict back flow into the main resivoir.

did the pistons pop out of the caliper, you said pads so im assuming disc brakes here.

get a set of piston pushers and they should work for you they are only about 5 pound they are not that dear

i think that you will find the one one side they wind in the normal way and on the other side they go the oppasit way
