Mathews does act like a democrat...he writes about the common man trying to make ends meet, et al. Biden's comment was NOT racial...the right wing is just spinning it that way. In effect he said Obama was a star and he is. And, Obama being the class act that he is understood it. I think they'd make a great ticket.

Chris Matthews biased?
I am sure he has his opinions - as do ALL reporters & news show moderators. Name one - liberal or conservative - that doesn't have opinions. Just because you have strong opinions does not mean you have strong bias.
As I only see Matthews on a rare occasion, I can only say that he has appeared to be fair the times I have seen him
I think Junglejoe is a biased, divisive American. Just another finger pointing Yahoo troll.
Have a great day.

I find the so called news people at FOX as the most biased when it comes to reporting. Any time they are criticized they use same old message that the press is liberal. Look at Tony Snow former reporter at Fox now press secretary nothing more that mouth piece for the FOX and the Republican Party.

Chris Matthews is as unbiased as they come. I've watched him for years. He is just as hard on Democrats as Republicans. The problem is that you conservatives have selective attention. If you really thought about it, you could remember plenty of times Matthews was hard on Democrats or Liberals and praised Republicans or Conservatives.

No question.
The liberal biased Matthews is biased.
All of NBC is liberal biased.
All the liberal biased drive by media is liberal biased except the fair and balanced FOX news.
Liberals hate FNC because if they present both sides of any issue.
Liberals are unable to compete on a fair and level playing field.
They lose every time.
Without the liberal biased media the liberals would be a permanent minority.

Does this actually surprise you? Let's see, Chris Matthews, former press secretary to Democratic Speaker of the House Tip O'Neil. Think he's a liberal?????? Gotta think about that one.

Absolutely! And he makes no apology for it. If the issue had been something, allegedly racist, said by McCain or Rudi, you can bet Matthews and his buddies would be calling for their head on a platter.
The double standard in the media is truly fascinating to behold!

Repetitive junglejoe was repetitive in how he asked a question.
I've never sensed a bias in Matthews when I watched his show. Of course, he is indeed a Democrat and he used to work for former speaker Tip O'Neal. So I know that he prefers the liberal point of view. But I've never felt he was being unfair or that he was lacking in even-handedness.
