what is best, to lift with in my weight limit or above?

of course you can since you have been doing it. However, you should know your limit, nobody can advise you what and how much is it.

If you've been in the gym and our in good condition I can't see any reason why not. I'm 57 and spend a good deal of time doing exactly what your talking about, listen to your body, it will tell you when enough is enough. Stay at it!!!
