Depends what you mean by soulful
and contrary to belief the 70's was very Soulful
I lived it and some of my favs are

Aint No sunshine Bill Withers
Commodores Still
Tired of being alone Al Green
but there are still hundreds more.

There were no soulful disco songs. Trust me, I lived through the disco era and soul & disco were not synonamous.
The 70s put out some great soul music. But none of it was disco.

Has to be "Don't leave me this Way" by Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes, if you count this as 'Disco'. As an old soul boy, we used to see real 'Disco' as a not-very-soulful manufactured dance music anyway. Or go with anything by Tavares. Or "Ain't NoStopping Us Now". Big fan of "Never Can Say Goodbye" by Glora Gaynor.
